Attachment Database with Deduplication

Title says it all. Exchange databases grows mainly because of the attachments witch causes challenges to backup and maintain operations. There has to be some kind of solution in the future that reduces database size and disk utilization.

It would be a killer feature that all the attachments could be stored to a deduplication database and original message could refer with link to the attachment.

Integrated multi layers, multi engines antivirus & antispam back

The combination of Exchange 2010 and Forefront protection for Exchange 2010 is/was offering a decent multi engines antivirus and antispam solution. Forefront integrates on Exchange/Edge features like recipient filtering or safelist aggregation. Messages can be scanned at Edge, at internal transport level (and at mailbox level)… It offers a better protection than what is possible with Exchange 2013.

Open up Archive Mailbox API for vaulting (Enterprise Vault)

Would be nice to have another tier capabliity in handling messages. Being able to pull data out of an Archive Mailbox to Enterprise Vault or other 3rd party same as a user mailbox would be ideal

Calendar share publicly

Easier for end users to share calendars or provide public F/B. Can be done today but by default is off and require admin PS plus difficult end user config, simple end user share using URL and be done.

EAC Pop-up Windows

Not certain that this is feasible but I have a request to have any window that pops-up from EAC grey out the background window or activate a window within a window. I find many times several windows open behind the browser window because I forgot or got distracted.

Allow external SMTP addresses to be added to Distribution Groups

Users can manage Distribution groups, but can only add members who have an AD object.

For example : Add a second multi-value attribute (eg externalMembers) and a permissions mask to provide the ability for an administrator to allow certain DGs to have a secondary list of external SMTP addresses.

Separate SMTP logging location

Currently all the receive connectors traffic in Exchange 2013 is logged into one single file.

I think it would be much beneficial to specify separate file for each connector.

Alerts Admin during DAG Failover Events

When DAG database failover event occurs alert admins through E-mail notification to notify over this event to take action, we have script which checks the database distribution on the Exchange Servers and when it finds any discrepancy in the distribution triggers an Email with the details with which we come to know about the issue and start the investigation, It would be good if this is automated with a Option in EAC ...more »

Exchange 2013 Discovery Target

In Exchange 2013, there are many options available when running a search cmdlet in PowerShell in particular to target those results to a Discovery Mailbox of your choice (i.e. New-MailboxSearch -TargetMailbox), but this option does not exist in the Exchange Admin Center. Allowing these options in the EAC will be helpful for non Exchange Admins, such as Compliance Officers to perform their daily tasks.

EOP DLP Reporting to On-Premise Exchange 2013

Exchange Online Protection offers some great compliance functionality in the cloud such as real-time DLP policy and rule matching. Adding these reporting features would be a great addition to the On-Premises product and helpful for validating localized transport of email containing PCI or PII data.

Add more colour options to Outlook

Looking all day at a stark white or mildly white 29inch Outlook pane is troublesome. We're not all tablet users with finger smudged screens to reduce the brightness.
